It’s Been Awhile
March 26, 2009
Certainly it’s been a while, but I have to say, I am hoping that Project Phoenix takes off again and reaches it full potentional this time. With that being said, the project has started back up again.
Red Laboratory

There’s definitely something in the mix brewing but it will take some time before it will be launched. That is certainly not to say that this project is dead; merely in hibernation. Within the next couple of months I hope to create a new “challenge” or task for the project. Till then, I bid you adieu.

Current Challenges
August 24, 2007
02. The collaborative challenge or the original proposition is for everyone who wants to participate. Reload, Remix, Revision is the way to think about it. This is the ultimate goal of the project which is to start working off one another; using the artwork provided to teach and learn new things.
03. Photowalks. If you’re not familiar with the concept, in short photowalks are when you grab your camera and take it for a walk, taking random shots along the way. If this seems like something up your alley, then go for it. I will also be linking blogs if requested so they do not necessarily need to be emailed.
04. Duo Photowalks. I’ve already explained photowalks, but another concept I had slightly varies. Grab another person or a bunch of people and take shots all along the way. Don’t stop one another or warn one another about what you’ll be shooting. After sifting through your pictures (remember to save a set for yourself) send them over to whoever you went with. Then have them alter it anyway they please and vice versa. Then set the pictures up side by side meaning the original you took and what they did to it. This sort of artwork once launched will be set up on blogs rather than the website itself. For this concept, you can either set up your own blog or use ((phnx))’s photowalk blog (make a request and permission shall be bequeathed to you).
05. This one is so obvious it will make you cringe. So you’ve mastered some form of art whether it is sculpture or programming, well, try something new.

The first few post will be bland, a sort of reference if you will for the project. Then we’ll see where it goes from there. Perhaps this will replace the need for newsletters altogether.
